Love in the Midst of it All…
What, love in the midst of it all? I don’t think so, would be the response for many of us. I refuse to even be in the same room with them. How can I love them when they hurt me? The same way you love after you’ve caused pain. How can I even look at them? You look at them the same way you did before they hurt you.
It is during this time of not being capable of loving that we find the strength to do so. The pain of the betrayal and lies hits you every second leaving you questioning yourself. Why? Your answer lies in the growth of you loving amid all that’s placed before you.
The reality of it all is that neither the lie nor the betrayal killed you. No one is perfect and this too shall pass. Pray and ask for the strength to endure this season and grow with the individual that has caused you pain.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
As we all walk daily we all have caused pain and will be hurt intentionally and unintentionally but the greatest lesson is to learn from it and love.
